The Art Gastropub & Cafe is a new concept designed to fit into the Arts and Entertainment district with the renown Maryland Theater just a few doors down. The pub was rebranded and remodeled from an Americana sports bar to a cutting-edge fusion eatery featuring street art and other non traditional art. The eccentric atmosphere with specialty food and cocktail menus, curated music playlist, cult films, and live music is also a vibrant meeting place with a dedicated art gallery and large outdoor patio.

The concept of "The Art" was to present the art of visuals, dining and entertainment with an upscale flair but in a casual setting. Gold is the accent color with black background; these are the branded colors for logos etc. Some of the artist's work was done with stencils as seen on the bar top.

Some of the featured paintings in the main room are from late 60's early 70's and give a psychedelic twist. The choice of the forest wall mural delivers an "Alice in Wonderland" vibe while connecting the moose mascot. The forest wall's also an easy way to direct patrons to the outdoor patio. It's also an uplifting entrance door for team working hard in the kitchen, the heart of the pub.

Chandeliers were selected for golden warmth and to add a bit of glam to balance the rawness of some of the more industrial styled art installations. Patrons find the atmosphere inspiring and calls them to engage and interact even when dining alone by sharing pics on socials or just chatting with staff.

The venue has seating for 100 plus outdoor patio and dedicated gallery/event space. The outdoor patio with seating and full bar is also utilized for live events.

There were multiple art pieces attempted to go behind the bar, but a contiguous line ultimately seemed to be the best fit. This piece is the direct eyeline of any patron sitting at the bar. It needed to be engaging but not overwhelming to the other objects including the wine, and liquor labels. For such a large area "the art" written repeatedly seemed to be the perfect fit. My inspiration came from a similar piece I found. Black and white always brings a classic look.

The bar was constructed with industrial materials, a theme that's used throughout the venue.

The entrance to the dedicated gallery has ideal window space to display work in 3D.
